Another great matchup for Game 2, after Dusty Baker announces Framber Valdez will start Game 2. Game 1 will feature an amazing matchup - Justin Verlander for the Astros and Jordan Montgomery for the Rangers.
ESPN has a great story going into Dusty's announcement. As the story states, Valdez was an All-Star this season, with a 12-11, 3.45 ERA, but struggled against the Twins in the ALDS. 4 1/3 innings, 5 runs allowed and 7 hits - not his best stuff. These first 2 games will be fascinating. Can the experienced Astros pitching staff slow down the machine that is the Rangers offense? Can Montgomery continue to look dominant, as he has in the postseason? Will Mad Max contribute? So many questions to be answered, and thankfully, we can witness Game 1 tonight!
